Wellingborough lakes comprises 3 disused gravel pits of 5, 12 and 23 acres, with the 5 acre Island and 12 acre Heron lake situated south of the Wellingborough town at one site with the 23 acre Mill lake half a mile away to the south east of the town at another site both are in Northamptonshire.
I have set the fishing swims between 40-60m apart to give the angler plenty of water to fish there are five swims on the Island lake fifteen swims on the Heron plus twenty four on the much larger Mill.
You have shallow areas around the margins and islands with depths going down to fourteen feet at most in the centre of the lakes Canadian pond weed is present in all three waters around the margin slopes and shallower areas.
I run all three waters on a limited ticket syndicate basis to stop the waters being over fished and abused, by calling in on the waters every day I can monitor the lakes activities.
I have mobile toilets at both sites and rowing boats chained up in case we need to free any weeded up fish.
All the waters are mixed fisheries containing Tench to 11+lbs Bream to 17+lbs Pike to 25+lbs Perch to 4+lbs and Carp to 40+lbs.
Both entrance gates are locked with combination locks.
The lakes are private with no public rights of way or bridle paths along the fishing banks.
You are fishing for pukka english carp in peaceful surroundings.
